Labour only contract building crews

  • We’re looking for reliable and experienced qualified wage builders or labour-only building contracting teams to carry out a range of residential construction, foundations and landscaping projects across the Wellington region – including areas like Hutt Valley, Kapiti, Porirua, Wellington City, and the Wairarapa.

    • Residential House Builds & Terrace Housing

    • Accurately reading the plans and consents

    • Quality workmanship and experience in new builds

    • Working independently or leading small teams to deliver high-quality results

    • Trade qualified builder (LBP preferred but not essential if on wages)

    • Proven experience in residential new builds, foundations, or landscaping

    • Strong workmanship, professionalism, and attention to detail

    • Strong knowledge of the NZ Building Code and WorkSafe requirements

    • Own reliable transport and a full set of tools

Foundation Builders

  • We’re looking for reliable and experienced builders or Labour only contractors to carry out House foundations for our residential builds across the Wellington region, including the Hutt Valley, Kapiti, Porirua, Wellington City, and the Wairarapa.

    • Ribraft foundation & X-pod foundation systems

    • Masonry block wall footings

    • Timber floor piles ready for our builders to continue construction

    • Friday Homes will supply all formwork, bracing, and materials to complete the works

    • Proven experience in residential foundation construction

    • Commitment to quality, safety, and professional site presentation

    • Fully insured and compliant with NZ Building Code and WorkSafe requirements

Qualified Builder / Landscaper

  • We're seeking an experienced Builder or Landscaper to join our skilled team. If you specialize in building fences, retaining walls, decks and take pride in high - quality craftmanship, we want to hear from you!

    • Strong expertise in landscape construction, including building fences, retaining walls, and decks efficiently and independently.

    • Ability to work independently and lead/train a small team.

    • Accurately quantify and order materials for each job.

    • Uphold high quality workmanship, strong work ethic, and a forward thinking approach.

    • Owns full set of power and hand tools.

    • A current LBP license (would be an advantage but not essential).

    • Minimum 5+ years experience in residential construction (being an all - rounder builder is a bonus!).

Qualified Builder

Type: Full Time

Location: Wellington, Kāpiti through to Wairarapa

  • We're currently seeking motivated and skilled all - rounder builders with a strong background in foundation work, framing, trusses and cladding new homes to join our growing team. We are also looking for a foreman that can lead a team from the front and enjoys inspiring and motivating those around the team.

    You'll be a key part of our team, ensuring each job is delivered to the highest standard, on time. This is a full - time, hands on role, based across various sites across the Wellington region.

    • Setting out and constructing residential concrete and timber foundations.

    • Framing, mid floors and trusses.

    • Various types of cladding.

    • Working with apprentices and site managers and council inspections.

    • Ensuring compliance with site safety and building standards.

    • Strong work ethic and proactive, can - do attitude.

    • A building tool kit - you'll need your own tools.

    • Trade qualification and LBP certification (not essential but will be an advantage).

    • Strong and proven experience, in depth knowledge of house construction.

    • Builders that have experience in single level, 2 level and town house construction.

Architectural Designer

Start: ASAP

Type: Full Time

Location: Lower Hutt

  • This is a full-time, office-based position with a clear and focused scope: producing tidy, accurate working drawings using Revit for a diverse mix of residential projects.

    From large scale FH Group developments to one-off architectural builds under our Friday Homes brand, no two days are the same. You'll be supported by our in-house design and project team but also trusted to take ownership of your work and manage timelines confidently.

    • Preparing detailed working drawings for consent and construction using Revit

    • Ensuring all documentation meets building code and council requirements

    • Collaborating with our in-house design team and wider project teams

    • Delivering drawing sets on time and supporting coordination with contractors as needed

    • Responding to RFIs and ensuring design intent is preserved through documentation

    • A tertiary qualification in architectural technology or a related field

    • At least 3 years’ experience in residential drafting, with a strong focus on working drawings

    • Extensive Revit skills are essential

    • Experience in designing new homes in New Zealand

    • Efficient with working drawings

    • A solid understanding of NZ building codes and consent processes

    • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines independently

    • A great attitude and willingness to be part of a collaborative team

  • We are on the hunt for a go-getterpassionate Sales Consultant, who will provide fantastic customer service, and successfully convert leads into contracts. 

    As a New Home Consultant, you will be the trusted expert that will help our clients build their dream home or development, from the very initial stages of designing and planning, all the way to the project’s completion and handover. You will be responsible for a dedicated catchment, so we are looking for someone who wants to grow our name and presence in their area.  

    • Convert leads into sales

    • Understand the client’s needs, presenting the best options and supporting them to get the best outcomes for their new home or development

    • Be the trusted point of contact through the sales process, ensuring a smooth handover to the construction team, and keeping your client up to date through the construction process

    • Work with our in-house marketing team to find opportunities to get our brand and name out there

    • Tender, price and generate build contractsLog all leads into our dedicated CRM system and provide reporting on enquiries 

    • Liaise with industry experts and keep on top of building requirements 

    • Track and provide reporting on consents in your area

    • Proven experience in sales, real estate, or a related field

    • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

    • Ability to manage multiple leads and close sales effectively

    • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills to handle complex client requests

    • Knowledge of the construction industry, in particular new residential homes 

    • A proactive, organized, and customer-focused approach

  • As a Project Manager, you will manage projects end to end, overseeing bespoke homes, developments, and commercial builds. The role requires a high level of organisation, strong communication, and the ability to manage projects efficiently while maintaining consistently high standards.

    • Strong experience in residential construction, with development and/or commercial exposure an advantage

    • High attention to detail and pride in quality outcomes

    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects efficiently
